Delete your account
Effective September 30, 2026 Operated by Frontier Global Technologies, Inc.
This page explains how to delete your Alto Inspect account and the personal data linked to it, what we delete, and what we keep and for how long. It applies to the web dashboard and the Alto Inspect mobile app, which share one account. Our Privacy Policy gives the full details.
1. Delete your account in the web dashboard
You delete your account in the web dashboard, not in the app:
- Sign in at https://altoinspect.com/login with the same email address and password you use in the app.
- Open the menu with your name at the top right and choose Profile.
- Go to the Delete Account section at the bottom of the page and select Delete Account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account.
If you own a team
You cannot delete your account while you own a team that is still in use — a team with other members, or with any properties or inspections (archived ones included). The profile page tells you which team it is. First do one of these:
- Delete the team. On the profile page, follow the Team Settings link for that team and use Delete Team. Only the team owner can do this. It permanently deletes the team's properties, inspections, photos, signatures, tenant links and reports (see section 3).
- Transfer the team. Write to [email protected] and ask us to transfer ownership to another member.
This rule makes sure that one person leaving never deletes the company's records on their own. A team you own that has no other members and no properties or inspections is deleted with your account.
If your agency manages your account
Inspectors usually use Alto Inspect as members of their agency's team. You can still delete your own account as described above. The inspections you carried out belong to your agency, not to your account, so they stay with the team (see section 3). Your agency's team administrators can also remove you from the team.
2. Ask us to delete your account
If you cannot sign in, or prefer that we do it, send an email to [email protected]. Send it from the email address of your account if you can, and include:
- your name and the email address of your account;
- the name of your team or company, if you know it;
- a clear request to delete your account.
To protect your account, we may ask for proof of your identity before we act. We will reply within 20 days and, if your request is valid, act on it within 15 days after our reply. We may extend each period once by the same length when there is good reason. Making a request is free.
3. What we delete
When you delete your account, or we delete it at your request, we delete immediately:
- your profile: name, email address and preferred language;
- your sign-in details: password hash, two-factor authentication secret and recovery codes, and passkeys;
- your team memberships;
- your web sessions;
- the app's access and refresh tokens on every device, so the app can no longer reach your account.
When a team owner deletes a team, we delete from our live systems its properties, rooms, inspections, photos, signatures, tenant self-inspection links and PDF reports.
4. What we keep, and for how long
- Your team's inspection records. Properties, inspections, photos, signatures and reports belong to the property manager, brokerage or landlord that uses Alto Inspect (our customer), which controls them. They are not deleted when an individual user deletes their account; they stay under the customer's control for as long as the customer keeps them in Alto Inspect. To have them deleted, ask the customer, or the team owner can delete the team. When a contract ends, the customer has 30 days to export its data, after which we delete it from our live systems.
- Backups. Deleted data leaves our backups through normal rotation within 35 days.
- Billing records. For as long as tax law requires; in Mexico, five years under article 30 of the Código Fiscal de la Federación.
- Server logs. Kept in automatically rotated files with a fixed size limit; the oldest entries are deleted as new ones are written. We use them only to keep the service secure and to find faults.
- Legal obligations. We may keep some data longer where the law requires it or to resolve disputes, restricting its use until it is deleted.
